Phytoplankton for Dogs | Dog’s Protein Super Food (Added Ingredient for Homeopathic Product Selection)

Marine Phytoplankton is a “super food” because of its nutrient density. Made of microscopic “nanoparticles” that are easily absorbed directly by the body’s thin mucous membranes, phytoplankton bypasses your dog’s digestive system.  This not only preserves digestive energy but also allows nutrient absorption directly at the cellular level.  Rich in Beta carotene (healthy linings), zeaxanthin (eye protection), trace minerals, DHA and EPA (brain health), essential amino acids (building blocks of proteins), vitamins, proteins, EFAs (essential fatty acids) and chlorophyll.

Marine phytoplankton has many health benefits:

  • excellent source of energy and antioxidants
  • raw, pure (no additives or preservatives), freeze dried
  • non-GMO, gluten-free

Protein Quality. Only the Best for Your Dog

We purchase our marine phytoplankton where it is cultivated under controlled, purified conditions in a protected photo-bioreactor within the European Union.  This helps ensure no contamination of heavy metals or radiation.

What is marine phytoplankton?

Phytoplankton are single-celled microorganisms that form the basis of the marine food chain.  They date back over 3-billion years and are found in both salt and freshwater.  The smallest of sea creatures and fish, all the way up to whales, feast on their nano-sized rich nutrient particles.  These nutrient particles are microscopic, making them easily absorbed at the cellular level, which means they can go through membranes without having to go through the digestive tract, making it an efficient source of energy.

Why is it important?

  • dogs on a healing path in need of conserving digestive energy
  • dogs with digestive problems have difficulty absorbing nutrients
  • dogs with dental problems miss out on nutrition

Rich in Chlorophyll

Phytoplankton is responsible for at least 90% of the Earth’s oxygen supply.  Chlorophyll is especially important because it is oxygenating, increasing oxygen uptake to the muscles and thus energizing.

Strong Antioxidant

Phytoplankton’s antioxidant benefits are attributed to its chlorophyll, a natural internal cleanser.

Other Benefits of SEApreme™

Fiber

SEApreme™ also offers health benefits of both soluble and insoluble fiber (from our ground organic flaxseeds and chia seeds) which helps support a healthy intestinal tract and help prevent both diarrhea and constipation.  Soluble fiber dissolves in water, whereas Insoluble fiber does not.  When soluble fiber dissolves in water inside the small intestine, it absorbs excess fluids and becomes a gel-like substance that has a tendency to slow down digestion which helps with diarrhea.  Insoluble fiber, on the other hand, does not absorb water and is not absorbed by the intestines, which helps prevent constipation by passing through the digestive system quicker.

Ingredients (finely ground) in order of weight: Organic Flaxseeds, Organic Chia Seeds, Sea Vegetables (Kelp, Iceland Waters Origin, Hand-Harvested), Organic Wheatgrass Powder, Organic Marine Phytoplankton, Green Lipped Mussel (New Zealand Waters), Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil, Bone Meal Powder (Pure, Sterile), Lecithin (Sunflower, Non-GMO), Vitamin E (Sunflower Oil, Non-GMO ).

Green Lipped Mussel (GLM)

Our GLM comes from New Zealand where the mussels thrive in pristine waters.  Studies show GLM to be rich in glycosaminoglycans, commonly referred to as “GAGS” for short.  These GAGS are found in cartilage and synovial joint fluid.  Many of our canine clients are consuming our GLM products for joint support, all ages, all stages of health.  We include it in our SEApreme™ as an added health benefit.

Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil

Our salmon oil is from Alaskan waters and rich in Omega-3 fatty acids from the phytoplankton they consume.  These healthy fatty acids help support healthy coat, eyes, membranes (pliability) and immune system.  Adding fish oils to other marine products gives an added health boost.

Sea Vegetables

Sea vegetables, also referred to as seaweed and kelp, are constantly absorbing the nutrient-rich ocean waters. Ounce for ounce, seaweed is higher in vitamins and trace minerals (including a pure form of calcium that does not come from animals) than any other class of food.  The documented properties of seaweed are voluminous. Known to detox the body as well as provide energy, sea vegetables also help assimilate legume nutrients by enhancing digestion.  Our sea vegetables are hand-harvested from Icelandic waters.
